Will defense be better, worse or the same with Schwartz gone?
Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz decided Monday to leave the Buffalo Bills with the arrival of head coach Rex Ryan. Buffalo ranked fourth in overall defense in 2014, but Ryan and Schwartz have different defensive styles.
Schwartz’s defense was dominant for the Bills this season, there is no debating the point. But Mike Pettine’s turned the defense around a perennial doormat into a defense teams feared. Schwartz came in and shifted the defense to his style and abandoned Pettine’s defense. The question is will the originator of the Pettine defense make them even better? What comes of Jerry Hughes? And how will Kiko Alonso’s return figure into the mix.
So how do you think Ryan’s defense will fair?
