Media Hype: Does Tyrod Taylor actually have a shot at starting QB?
If you haven’t been following the weekend news across many sports websites you haven’t seen the recycling of articles about the possibility of Tyrod Taylor being the Bills’ starting quarterback.
This all started from a single quote by General Manager Doug Whaley:
“In this system that we’re trying to figure out who is going to be the number one it’s all about competition. That’s why everybody involved is excited about it.”
One quote and no other NFL news to report starts a new line of questions about who will start for the Buffalo Bills and the question about whether or not Taylor has a shot.
It’s not really news. If you are a Bills fan, and have followed anything that Rex Ryan has said since he has started, you know that the team has said all along that it is an open competition. If its a true open competition the best man will win. So it’s not really news.
If anything it’s refreshing to have some competition. Most teams anoint their starter and live and die by that decision. It certainly will make training camp and the preseason a bit more interesting than most we’ve seen from the Buffalo Bills in a long time.
Who do you think will be the starting quarterback for the Buffalo Bills on opening day?
