Injuries: Dixon out with calf and McCoy out with toe
Buffalo Bills running back Boobie Dixon could miss four weeks after pulling his calf muscle according to coach Rex Ryan.
Ryan provided the update Wednesday, when the Bills returned to training camp following a day off. Dixon was hurt Monday.
Coach Ryan also said that running back LeSean McCoy had missed some training camp this week due to a minor toe injury.
“He’s just had a little toe… it’s not turf toe or anything like that,” Ryan said. “It’s not something that’s really going to hamper him in the near future.”
Ryan believes the three-time Pro Bowler will be ready for an intrasquad scrimmage Saturday night.
“I think he will be [ready],” Ryan said. “But obviously that can change. But the main thing is not that he plays the scrimmage; the main thing is that he’s ready to roll when there are live bullets.”
